lyrics

Another long ass song man
This is a tale of two 19’s, so
Bear with me
Alright

My memories are my legacy
I’m calling out to them endlessly
I just wanna know that they hear me, yeah
I just wanna know that they hear me
I can only see you when I’m fast asleep
These restless dreams are so hard to reach
I just wanna know if they feel me, yeah
I just wanna know if they feel me
We’re older than we’ve ever been
We’re younger than we’ll ever be
But look what we already done
Just look what we already done

Run it back, summer '19, that’s my dream
Age 16, floor 13, it was everything
I had found my people and my peace
I’m still working on the time machine
At Lincoln Center, sitting on the edge
Water jumping out the fountainhead
I got my head up in the clouds
With my feet down on the ground
And the people getting loud
But by now we drown it out
Good morning, I could scream it
You know it’s my season
Rise and shine, shit is beaming
New York City streets is heated
Only shop in SoHo, I do not trust no hoe
Hannah call me Ro though, and I’m rockin polo
I got on the same shades, Lennon frames
And the bucket hat, cause it’s 80 on a sunny day

See myself changing, and it’s amazing
I don’t know what awaits, so I’m meditating
Before my worst days when I became complacent
I looked at her face and saw adoration
Like Zak and Lank window gazing at all the cars
Singing lullabies at stars when we in the dark
Then wake up sleep deprived, well fuck it, we alive
Feeling high, me and her, it’s only she and I
Little sugar vibe with my orange soda
Pink and orange moments, Dunkin Donuts

Breathe this shit in deep, it’s hella sweet
Leave it in the melodies, glow so heavenly
On the harbor, dawg, I thought I glimpsed God
Burning sky, sunset sending us fireballs
I think this ship is going down with us
Breathe the minute in, then we drown in it
Caught up in the rain, running holding hands
When we made it back, finally made the plans
In elevator at last, had to wait to ask
First date, final day, took her that Shake Shack
We arranged it, now we embracing
For the evening, then for the season
Guaranteed, these feelings deepened
Till the stage of “what are we?” friends
Lovers since we were a little younger
What enchantment did she put me under
Felt like a spell of cinematic wonder
Once upon a time, mid summer

Hey vlog, this is my bestie Bia (Ayy…let me throw it at you Kendall)
Oh…got it…ohhh shit ayy!
This is Ronan, he’s kind of like a gangster man (he’s a gangsta)
This is Zak, he’s my favorite person (hi…teddy bear…I love Zak)
Here’s Abby, she’s my roommate (hi…besties)
This is Hannah, she’s gorgeous, oh my God
This is Kate, and she dropped it down on the dance floor! (no…)
This is Amanda, she’s a little intimidating but girl she's gorgeous and she's sweet as fuck (I love you…I love you…nice girl summer…ahaha ahhh…Ronan’s like "me too")
This is my squad, and nobody can top em, man
Floor 13…Floor 13!
I love y'all

My memories are my legacy
I’m calling out to them endlessly
I just wanna know that they hear me, yeah
I just wanna know that they hear me
I can only see you when I’m fast asleep
These restless dreams are so hard to reach
I just wanna know that they feel me, yeah
I just wanna know if they feel me
We’re older than we’ve ever been
We’re younger than we’ll ever be
But look what we already done
Just look what we already done

Summer '22, I turned 19, but my mind’s older
Beat forces that I grew outta but I’m still rockin
Every time I see the fam, they saying I got taller
Grow longer, more I only seem to feel smaller
Coming home, tryna come up for new air to breathe
Been underwater, feeling so repressed
Free falling, need therapy, but who’s there for me?
The same friends, yeah we had class
Can’t escape the past, but the present passing
One last fore we all leave we them fall leaves
We drinking, smoking, laughing, joking, on me
Most important, stopped recording, now I live in moments
Girls I used to wanna kiss is like “we missed you Ronan”
They say I changed in good ways, that I’m different now
And I missed em too, but don’t know how to feel about it
This shit for the middle of June, when it glitter out
Birthday last a week long, Mr. Geminow, and owww
Lakefront smelling loud, when it’s green outside
Down at the ledge, I’m reflecting at the golden hour
Lake Shore Drive on the way to Ryan’s, boy I know the route
Blankets in the basement, crashing on the couch
Some things never change, since ’17 it’s been the same
Still plotting, scheming, talking, dreaming, all evening
What we tryna achieve and stay up late playing games
Just contemplating how we gonna make it, we will together
Number one, my fucking brother, best man forever
Uptown wilding, or we downtown downing long islands
Getting high as fuck at Cheesecake, or the aquarium
We seeing things, we going green, it’s getting scary
Thought we’d die inside, then they’d have to bury us
That jane had Bea hawkin, I had to carry her
Fam treat me like I’m their son, reconnected
Ex girl turned lesbian turned best friend, so impressive
Took me to Buddhist temple, I’m catching the blessings
And still got fired on the same day, that made me humble
So we outside, this ain’t the time to stay indoors
It’s a lot of ways you could make the same cookie crumble
Hit Pitchfork, it’s foreshadowing lists for em
Like Jameson in the basement with the techno
Wyatt sailing Lake Michigan with the lil boat
Ethan whipping the beamer, let it go topless
That boy Foxy, Ella still getting real saucy
Marshall cooking real sauce, shit is so Italian
Always loved my neighbors, shoutout to Natalia
Getting faded, then we visit places that we really loved
Just kicking round, turn a big city to a little one
Something lost and something found in the middle of
Chi Town in the summertime, never give it up, live it up

My memories are my legacy
I’m calling out to them endlessly
I just wanna know that they hear me, yeah
I just wanna know that they hear me
I can only see you when I’m fast asleep
These restless dreams are so hard to reach
I just wanna know if they feel me, yeah
I just wanna know if they feel me
We’re older than we’ve ever been
We’re younger than we’ll ever be
But look what we already done
Just look what we already done

It was all we needed
I can see your faces
It was all we needed
I can still see your faces
A myth of my own
Baby you’re a myth of my own
A myth of my own
It was all a myth of my own
A myth of my own
This is mine alone
